Peninsula Daily News Article

News on Choice High School and the Elwha Science Education Project. Great photos will be available which show students working on independent science projects on the Elwha River.

"Project Gets Teens Out in the Field"

A full page article and front page photo from the Peninsula Daily News (PDN).  The full page article can be viewed as a pdf.  The story captures Port Angeles students doing independent studies on the Elwha River dam removal, which is the source of their drinking water and future site of the world's tallest dam removal.  Students, from Choice Community School, created 5 new study questions which were designed and researched by the students.  On May 2nd, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, students will present their results to the community at the Port Angeles library.

Seasonal Story

"...leaves are in a beautiful transformation, from a bright green they fade to a yellow then to a reddish brown, then fall to the ground and begin to rot, feeding the tree and the river rich nutrients."
